Welcome…

United We Learn is a free virtual tutoring program sponsored by Bucknell University and Susquehanna Valley United Way. The program connects local students with trained college tutors for up to two hours per week of academic support, delivered online through Zoom or Google Meet.

Please complete this enrollment form to request a tutor for your child. Space is limited, and while we cannot guarantee a match, every effort will be made to connect your child with a tutor.

ENROLLMENT AND AUTHORIZATION FORM

By submitting this request, I understand and agree that:

Limited availability: Tutor matches are not guaranteed due to limited capacity.
Who tutors: If matched, my child will work with a trained undergraduate tutor supervised by university personnel.
Format & time: Tutoring takes place virtually (Zoom or Google Meet) for up to 2 hours per week.
Scheduling: I will work with the tutor to set a regular meeting schedule.
Kickoff family meeting: Before one-on-one sessions begin, I will join a brief family Zoom meeting to share goals, helpful background, and discuss connecting the tutor with my child’s teacher(s) if appropriate.
Support & concerns: Tutors are volunteers. For any questions or concerns, I will contact Steph Reitmeyer at sreitmeyer@svuw.org, who can connect me with the university program supervisor.

Tutor Supervision & Student Safety

All tutors have the required clearances and are supervised by university personnel. To support supervision and protect students, tutoring sessions may be recorded. Recordings will be stored temporarily in a secure university media system, accessible only to the University Supervisor, and will be permanently deleted no later than the end of the school year.

Parent/Guardian Authorization

I authorize my child to participate in the United We Learn virtual academic support program, sponsored by Bucknell University and the Susquehanna Valley United Way. I understand that my child may receive up to two hours per week of tutoring, provided virtually through Zoom by a Bucknell University–approved college student, during the 2025–2026 academic school year.

By checking this box, I am providing my authorization for my child to participate in the United We Learn Program.

Recording Permission Statement

I understand that my child’s tutoring sessions may be recorded to ensure proper supervision of tutors and to help protect all students. These recordings will be stored temporarily in a secure, private university media system and will only be accessible to the University Supervisor. All recordings will be permanently deleted no later than the end of the school year.

I have read and understand the Recording Permission Statement and consent to my child’s sessions being recorded.
