On April 24th

330+ volunteers will join forces on 38 project sites across Columbia, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, and Union Counties — UNITED by a shared commitment to giving back.

The Susquehanna Valley United Way’s annual Day of Action brings community members and local nonprofits together for one incredible day of service, teamwork, and impact. Whether it’s residents lending a hand, employers building team spirit, or nonprofits accomplishing vital projects, Day of Action is a powerful celebration of community and collective action—all in just one day.

2026 PROJECT SITES

Volunteer Projects Across Five Counties

Dozens of nonprofits are hosting volunteer projects in their communities. From garden clean-ups and painting projects to organizing spaces and supporting programs for youth and veterans, each county offers unique opportunities to make an impact. Check out the full list of project sites by county!

Key Dates for Volunteers

Planning to participate in United Way’s Day of Action? Below are a few key dates to keep in mind as you register, prepare, and get ready to volunteer.

  • March 6, 2026 — Volunteer Registration Deadline
    All volunteers and volunteer groups must register by this date to participate in the 2026 Day of Action.

  • March 16, 2026 — T-Shirt Order Deadline
    Volunteers who register by this date will be guaranteed a commemorative Day of Action t-shirt.

  • Week of March 23, 2026 — Volunteer Project Site Announcements
    Volunteers and groups will receive an email with the nonprofit project site they’ve been matched with, including location details and next steps.

  • Prior to the Event — Volunteer Consent Forms
    All volunteers must complete a consent and release form before participating in Day of Action. A link to the form will be provided after registration.
