September Community Conversation

SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER 101:

Every day, we lose 14 Pennsylvanians to substance use disorder. Fear of being judged and discriminated against can prevent people with substance use disorder (SUD) or those at risk of SUD from getting the help they need. It can also prevent caregivers and others in a position to help from providing or seeking much-needed services.

In honor of Recovery Month, our next Community Conversation will be focused on the science and stigma behind substance use disorder. Join us for this informative session and learn what our United in Recovery program is doing for our region in the areas of prevention, intervention, and community building.

This is a virtual event, and registration is required in advance. Limited to 100 attendees.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

Every third Wednesday at 7:00 PM, we hold monthly community conversations geared towards Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and the specific needs of our community.

Please note: Anyone from the press or media is welcome to join the conversation as a community member, but we ask that you contact us before the event to make arrangements in order to avoid disrupting the event itself.
