By contributing to the annual United Way Campaign, one prize winner is eligible for a 2-minute shopping spree at a local Weis Markets, valued at up to $3,000, including $1,000 worth of Pepsi Products.

This year’s sweepstakes winner made the extraordinary decision to donate the prize anonymously and asked United Way to select a local family who could benefit from the opportunity. With support from the Family Services team, several families were nominated and entered into a random drawing.

Rules and Regulations for Eligibility in the United Way Give and WIN Sweepstakes.

    1. No gift cards are eligible as part of the shopping spree. Limited to 5 each per meat type. Limited to 1 each per appliance.

    2. There is a limit of five chances per person per drawing.

    3. Each individual or employee who contributes at least $2 per bi-weekly paycheck, or a minimum gift of $52.00 for the year, to Susquehanna Valley United Way’s general campaign, one of its Programs or Impact Areas, or one of its Funded Partners will be offered one chance to enter the drawing with one complete drawing entry stub (Entry 1).

    4. Each individual or employee who contributes at least $4.00 per bi-weekly paycheck, or a minimum gift of $104.00 for the year, to Susquehanna Valley United Way’s general campaign, one of its Programs or Impact Areas, or one of its Funded Partners will be offered two chances to enter the drawing with two complete drawing entry stubs (Entry 1 & 2).

    5. Each individual or employee who contributes at least $6.00 per bi-weekly paycheck, or a minimum gift of $156.00 for the year, to Susquehanna Valley United Way’s general campaign, to one of its Programs or Impact Areas, or to one of its Funded Partners will be offered three chances to enter the drawing with three complete drawing entry stubs (Entry 1, 2, & 3).

    6. Each individual or employee who contributes at least $10.00 per bi-weekly paycheck, or a minimum gift of $260 for the year, to Susquehanna Valley United Way’s general campaign, one of its Programs or Impact Areas, or one of its Funded Partners will be offered four chances to enter the drawing with four complete drawing entry stubs (Entry 1, 2, 3 & 4).

    7. Each individual or employee who contributes at least $20.00 per bi-weekly paycheck, or a minimum gift of $520 for the year, to Susquehanna Valley United Way’s general campaign, one of its Programs or Impact Areas, or one of its Funded Partners will be offered four chances to enter the drawing with four complete drawing entry stubs (Entry 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5).

    8. Employees of the Susquehanna Valley United Way, members of its Board of Directors, their immediate family members, and employees of sweepstakes sponsors are not eligible to participate.

    9. No donation is required to be entered for a chance to win. Should you like to enter the contest, simply email info[at]svuw.org.

    1. If an employee contributes using a pledge card other than the one used by Susquehanna Valley United Way, copies of internal pledge cards or forms should be submitted with all eligible Raffle Drawing Entry Forms by the deadline indicated.

    2. All verified entries must be returned to the United Way office no later than 12:00 PM (noon) on March 31, 2024, to be eligible for the drawing. United Way is not responsible for delayed or misplaced entries.

    1. The winner will be notified by telephone by April 5th, 2024.

    2. The Winner must provide proof of identification in the form of a valid Government Issued Photo ID.

    3. The Winner is expected to attend a photo opportunity at which time they may claim their prize.

    4. The winner will be required to pay all applicable sales taxes and any associated costs relating to the transaction, including but not limited to federal and state income tax.

    1. The winner, by entering their name, agrees to Susquehanna Valley United Way using their name and/or photograph for publicity purposes, upon winning, without further notification or compensation.

    2. I hereby authorize the editing, duplication, reproduction, copyright, exhibition, broadcast, and/or nonprofit use and distribution of said photography and/or recording(s) associated with this prize for purposes deemed suitable by United Way.

    3. I hereby waive any right to approve the finished products.

    4. I hereby certify that I am over eighteen years of age and am competent to contract my own name insofar as the above is concerned.

    1. The winners, by entering their names, agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Susquehanna Valley United Way, their respective agents, and employees from any and all liability (including any injury caused by negligence) in conjunction with this sweepstake/raffle.

    2. I also certify that by entering my name I am in good health and able to participate in the sweepstake activities. I certify that I am over eighteen years of age and am competent to contract my name insofar as the above is concerned.
